A tranquil oasis nestled in the mountainside with wonderful views, food, and a nurturing environment. The food is fresh, organic, well prepared, and plentiful. Birdwatching opportunities abound on-property. Nearby forest trails are scenic and uncrowded. I booked my stay to volunteer nearby and was delighted to find that the retreat was in and of itself a reason to visit. Next time, I will make sure to try the spa services.

Many thanks for a peaceful haven after the hectic travels in India and the dust and traffic of Kathmandu. Not only had the peaceful location next to the Shivapuri national park but on the North Slope facing south meant we had sun all day. Fresh salads homegrown and lots of healthy vegetables made up for excellent meals. The friendly service, always helpful, added to a wonderful experience at Chhahari.
