It is no surprise that Chhahari is a great spot for bird lovers. At the altitude they are at, many birds seem to make it part of their itinerary to pass through Chhahari's greens. It helps that the area is full of trees to perch on and resembles the greens of the nearby national park.
Ornithologists recorded 318 species of birds including the Eurasian eagle-owl, Slender-billed Scimitar-babbler, White-gorgeted flycatcher, Barred cuckoo-dove and Golden-throated barbet. If you are lucky enough, you might sight one of these perched on the branch of a tree you are resting under.
If you wish to do birding excursions inside the national park, please kindly pre-book.
"Chhahari is the perfect and point to a great trek. The service, food, and setting are spectacular. I didn’t know how it could be better. " - Don Tibrew, USA
